Play! A Video Game Symphony

i was there at the asian premier of Play! a video game symphony today at the esplanade concert hall...and i was expecting quite alot from this show...but maybe because it was the matinee show that i went..it was average at best..

not that my standards were THAT high...but seriously..glaring mistakes littered the entire 1st half of the performance and it took much shine off the specially-formed singapore festival orchestra...thankfully...the 2nd half saw a much much improved performance and at least i left slightly satisfied..maybe then again...it could be due to the matinee show...and the seasoned performers were resting from the show last night and preparing for the one after mine at 8....

i wasnt too sure about the choir though pl had mixed reviews regarding the choir...and for the matinee show..we had the good folks from NUS choir...

but the line-up of songs were great..and those really classic pieces from sonic, mario and zelda were once again heard albeit orchestra-arranged...and for you hardcore game-heads out there...too bad for you..you missed some cool stuff...

and for those reading and wants to attend as well...i apologise..but the only 3 shows are already over...
