Qingzang Railroad : The Highest Railroad in the World

Arrival at Golmud Station, freakin Communist-looking place. Golmud - Lhasa at Tibet takes 13hrs btw.

Henceforth, the train ride is boring AND made for Hobbits too. However the sights are breathtaking lah, mite.kudasai. Some parts of the tracks are actually on permafrost and need ammonia heatpipes to keep it forever frozen, if not the tracks will sag. The view is out of this world, but colours are not as good because the train has UV protection layers on the glass, thus it looks washed out, but you aren't really missing out a lot.
